Overview of other legislation
Parties involved in transactions pertaining to an entity that is not designated under SIRA, but is covered by other domestic sectoral legislation, may need to notify or seek approval from the relevant regulator in accordance with the relevant domestic sectoral legislation. Parties may refer to examples of domestic sectoral legislationthat contain ownership and control provisions, and their respective regulators.
There also exist other laws dealing with egregious acts against national security, including the Insolvency, Restructuring and Dissolution Act.
